Even Better Under Pressure
East Anglian Sealing Co Ltd

Graphite Packings
Graphite Packings are intended to offer high temperature capability, good chemical resistance and markedly reduced spindle wear. By selecting or combining the many versions of Graphite Packings available - we are able to offer a versatile range of Graphite Packings with varied handling and performance characteristics. These include high conformability, resistance to extrusion, chemical purity, temperature and oxidation resistance amongst others.
K3222
High-performance pure graphite valve and pump packing suitable for plant wide applications with excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Manufactured from expanded graphite for outstanding sealing ability.
K3222W
High performance graphite packing with Inconel wire reinforcement for use at high pressures
K40
An exceptional packing combining carbon and Inconel® for high-temperature and high-pressure valve applications. K40 also has a graphite lubricant to reduce stem wear and increase material density.
K44
A high purity, graphite based packing for both valve and pump applications, with additional graphite lubricant to further improve sealing performance and dynamic performance.
K46
A carbon based packing with graphite and lubricant for both valve and pumps applications
Often used as anti-extrusion rings with K35 rings
PTFE Packings
Packings made from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) are a mainstay of the mechanical compression packing industry. PTFE is well known for its outstanding resistance to chemical attack, low coefficient of friction and wide temperature tolerance including cryogenic service. This wide flexibility makes PTFE packings a popular choice for those difficult applications where strong solvents, corrosive chemicals and oxidising media require to be sealed. Klinger have harnessed these properties in our range of PTFE based gland packings to give an enormously wide sealing capability in both valve and pumping applications.
K49
High performance, multi-service packing for valves and pumping applications. Manufactured from Gore GFO® yarn with encapsulated graphite lubricant for rapid heat dispersion for use in high-speed applications.
K54S
A pure PTFE packing with PTFE lubricant packing suitable for plant wide use and
K54H
A PTFE packing with added PTFE and mineral oil lubricant, making it an excellent choice for plant wide use especially when a clean, non-contaminating packing is required.
K54F
A pure PTFE packing, excellent choice for plant wide use especially when a clean, non-contaminating packing is required
K55
New generation PTFE yarn with encapsulated graphite lubricant.
K4322
PTFE-yarn packing with a graphite lubricant for use in valves and high-speed pumps.
Synthetic Fibre Packings
An increasing variety of SYNTHETIC fibres are employed in the production of mechanical compression packings.
This is in response from industry for improvements in overall sealing capability. The demand by users for less leakage, downtime and wear combined with reasonable payback time remains the primary criteria for the use of SYNTHETIC packing. SYNTHETIC packings are increasingly finding favour because of the effective techniques employed by Klinger in respect of the materials used, and in braiding and lubrication methods.
K10
A combination of Acrylic yarn and PTFE to produce a durable and economic sealing material
K11
An economical packing based on Acrylic-fibre yarn and graphite and an additional lubricant
K25
High strength, aramid-fibre yarns with a Klingerlock cross-braiding. With an additional PTFE lubricant.
K4303
A combination of selected glass fibre yarns and PTFE suitable for use in static sealing and valve applications
K4310
A combination of selected glass fibre yarns and graphite, to produce a higher temperature packing for use in valves and static applications.
K4330
A universal packing, utilising Novoloid filament with PTFE lubricant. Especially suitable for rotary pumping applications where PTFE doesn’t posses sufficient strength.
K4333
A strong, universal packing, using PTFE-lubricated polyimide filaments, with excellent strength. K4333 can be employed where shaft wear is a problem and will perform as a suitable alternative to aramid-fibre packings.
Hybrid Packings
HYBRID packings are suitable for those applications where an unusual combination of service demands are faced so a specially constructed HYBRID packing may be required.
This is achieved by combining two or more yarns by special braiding methods, and adding selected lubricants. These Hybrid packings are primarily designed for use in specialised duties, but can be equally effective in many more standard applications. Klinger recommends HYBRID packings in difficult applications where high stresses are involved and the packing is required to offer a tight seal under high pressure, eg reciprocating pumps.
K4311
A hybrid packing that combines the properties of Aramid-fibre and PTFE-yarns around a silicone rubber core with PTFE and silicone lubricant. A strong packing suitable for use where shaft wear is a consideration
K4313
TopLine hybrid packing that combines the properties of Aramid-fibre and PTFE-yarn around a silicone core to produce a high-strength packing suitable for use with abrasive and viscous media, PTFE yarn ensures shaft wear is kept to a minimum
Traditional Packing Materials
K1 Packing Material
An economical packing based on a flax yarn using a tallow lubricant to create a packing suitable for pumping applications.
K2160 Packing Material
A plated packing constructed with flax yarns with tallow and graphite lubricants for use in pump applications.
K2167 Packing Material
A soft, plaited packing manufactured from cotton with lubricant for use with pumps applications commonly used in marine services.
K2168 Packing Material
A plaited packing manufactured from cotton yarn with a graphite yarn to produce a soft compressible packing for use on rotary pumps.
K4307 Packing Material
A plaited packing manufactured from flax yarns with the incorporation of PTFE has improved resistance to attack and reduced friction characteristics.
